What is trauma?

Trauma isn’t always about a single event — it’s about how your nervous system responds when something feels overwhelming or unsafe, often your mind has possibly just not been able to process everything. You may feel triggered, shut down, or stuck in survival mode long after the original experience.

Even if others tell you to “move on,” your body may still be holding on.

This work is about healing gently — helping you process and reframing what happened, reclaim your power, and feel safe in your body and life again.

Healing begins with understanding and compassion

Trauma can change how we relate to the world — but those changes need not be permanent.
We can't have a different past, we are here and have lived it - the good news is that we are here now and how we respond to it and move forward can be changed!

With the right therapeutic support, you can shift how your mind and body respond. Using strategic psychotherapy, clinical hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy®, we gently interrupt trauma patterns and guide your system toward healing and regulation. It’s about releasing the past so it no longer defines you — and opening space for new emotional freedom.
Trauma can take many forms, and each person’s experience is unique.
Single-event trauma might result from a car accident, injury, or sudden loss — one defining moment that overwhelms your ability to cope.
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) may develop after such events, bringing flashbacks, anxiety, or emotional numbness. Complex PTSD, on the other hand, often stems from ongoing or repeated trauma, such as childhood neglect or abusive relationships. It can affect self-worth, trust, and emotional regulation and contribute to depression .
Understanding the type of trauma you’ve experienced is the first step toward healing — and you don’t have to face it alone.
